Here at Earth Blocks Ltd, we’re always pushing the boundaries. We experiment with, and test new concepts frequently. Our latest Research and Development journey led us to the idea of manufacturing larger dimension cob blocks. Typically, the go-to cob block size is a standard 100mm unit. These products are laid flat and provide an effective construction.

But what if cob blocks were made larger and could be laid on their edge? Think of the cost savings p/s/m, the overall strength and the reduced amount of mortar required. We set about making some, primarily to see if our cob block making machine could cope with the additional material needed and the compression capabilities during pressing. Well, the machine had no problem at all!

Unique to Earth Blocks Ltd is our manufacture of shaped cob blocks and cob bricks. The commonest shape being the single-rounded unit. So, what if we made a single-rounded cob block to compliment our 125mm cob block? We did! These cob blocks are designed for use in corners of a building. They are also suitable for door/window reveal openings.
