All of our cob bricks are hydraulically pressed in our bespoke-designed machine and every cob brick manufactured maintains a continuity of size, weight and uniformity. However, on the rare occasion that a cob brick doesn’t conform, it is instantly recycled. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have ZERO WASTAGE.

This article though, will concentrate on cob brick ‘Feature Walling’. There are a host of cob brick bonding styles to choose from (or you could design your own).
Stretcher – Header bonding style
The above image displays one of our demo walls adopting the commonly used stretcher/header bonding technique. This particular style incorporates ‘full’ headers and therefore achieves an overall wall thickness of 250mm…..contributing to a strong and sturdy wall that can be either freestanding, tied and/or load-bearing. We also manufacture rounded cob bricks that are fully compatible with our standard cob bricks.

The availability of such a wide range and choice of pre-formed cob products enables the designer and/or user to create purposeful and aesthetically pleasing walling. There are no specialist skills required to build with these cob bricks…a general builder or a competent DIY’er can achieve effective results…..one doesn’t need to be a cob specialist!
