Compressed earth blocks or CEB’s as they’re often described, are a relatively popular go-to when one enquires about earth products. CEB’s, more often than not, come in one size….generally the size of a conventional concrete block. CEB’s are considered (by many) to be the only size available when compressed earth products have been specified….but not anymore! Here at Earth Blocks UK Ltd we have designed a machine that can produce compressed earth bricks.

Our compressed earth bricks are significantly less heavy than compressed earth blocks thereby making them a lot easier to handle and to use. In addition, our compressed earth bricks can be used in conjunction with our compressed earth blocks.
What is a compressed earth brick made of?
Our compressed earth bricks are made from natural, sub-ground geology and water. This raw material (naturally) consists of aggregates, sands and clays…we do not add anything else….no hardeners, resins, limes or cements. A breakdown of elements can be found here.
Can I build walls with compressed earth bricks?
Yes. Our compressed earth bricks have been designed for this purpose. Our compressed earth bricks have undergone rigorous compression testing and demonstrate a load-bearing capacity of 3.2 tonnes of spread load.
Are compressed earth bricks thermally efficient?
Yes. Our compressed earth bricks have been thermally tested and provide over 30% more thermal efficiency than that of concrete blocks. Read more here
Are compressed earth bricks eco-friendly?
Yes. Our compressed earth bricks have over 95% less embodied carbon than concrete blocks and over 50% less embodied carbon than conventional, fired bricks….understandably, given our raw material hasn’t been processed and that our compressed earth bricks are dried naturally.
